Found while looking at NC's , photo shopped but man is that fantastic.

Also, does anyone daily a NC and would they recommend it as a year round commuter in Southeast Michigan, driving 50 miles a day in all seasons? I'm also 6'3 and have a wider frame. I'n overly concerned about winter as I have been driving in Michigan winters with RWD for a few years now without much trouble but am more concerned with the comfort factor as I am would be in it for a few hours every day.

I would not recommend such a thing, sadly.

I have an NC and I love it to death. But I'm 6'-1" and it's a tight fit for my long legs. I end up getting cramps in my right leg because the damn gas pedal on long drives (over two hours).

You could have it as a DD, but you would probably yearn for something more comfortable after a year or two.

I drive in around an hour increments when I commute to and from work and school and sometimes I take my lunch brake in my car. I am usually pretty shot on my way home though so comfort does matter.

If comfort is a concern and you're 6'3", the Miata is out as a DD.

I frequently wish I was 5'6" just so I could be comfy in my own car.

I would think it should work just fine. I am a bit shorter (6'-1") and my NB fits me perfectly. The NC has more space inside and better creature comforts, so I don't see any issue with that. Obviously I would suggest test driving one and seeing how it feels. You should be able to tell right away if it will fit or not.

I love Miatas, but chose a BRZ as my one and only. I don't need a lot of space, and I'm a little smaller than you, but to me getting into a Miata is like putting on a glove, while getting into pretty much any other car is like... Well, getting into a car.

I haven't sat in or driven an NC, just NAs and NBs. I understand the NC is slightly more roomy, but not much.

As for winter, with good tires you'll be fine, but the low ground clearance could be the bigger issue. Miatas don't make very good snow plows.

I drove my brothers NA for a couple weeks in the winter two years ago and it was pretty uncomfortable for me because it was so small. My eye line was at the top of the windshield and my head would be pressing into the top but I thought it was fun for the first 20 minutes. I had heard the NC was bigger but may have unrealistic expectations.

You can also do a "foamectomy" on the seats so that you sit lower. I did that on my first NA to try and get my head under the roll bar for the track. There was still plenty of padding left for my then skinny butt.

Ah yes but my butt isn't quite so svelte, I also had the issue where my hands would hit my knees when steering and my legs would be pushing into the door and center console and the longer I think about these flaws the more I'm realizing how bad an idea this would probably be, especially since it would be my only car.
